Hey. My name is Hala, pronounced حلا. My passion is reading, which led to my love for writing—the inevitable pipeline.

The book that started it all was Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. It was the first book I bought on my own. I was 11 years old, wandering around the Beirut book fair, when I found it, bought it, and fell in love.

I currently run a TikTok account (halasbooktalks) where I yap about books; I also run a bookstagram with the same name and purpose.

When I was in uni, I was afraid of sharing my writings with anyone, and now I work as a writer… the irony. I write different things: copywriting for sites and socials, blog articles about perfumes, and marketing content. But that is all work. As for my personal projects, I’m currently working on a couple of books. I also write personal blogs on what I like to call my online diary (morning from my room).
